SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 6, 2017) – The American Society is excited to announce the 2017 Ranch Chic Fashion Show, presented by Wrangler Jeans, on Thursday, September 14 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Taking place at the Rosenberg Sky Room at the University of the Incarnate Word, the Ranch Chic Fashion Show features fashions donated by Cavender’s and jewelry donated by Kendra Scott, modeled by cancer survivors, celebrities and professional models.
Founded in 2005 by a group of volunteers, The Ranch Chic Fashion Show was developed to not only showcase the great western fashions that are perfect for guests to wear to the Cattle Baron’s Gala, but also as an additional way to raise awareness for the American Cancer Society. This year’s show will be dedicated to the memory of Donna Muslin, one of the original founders of the Ranch Chic Fashion Show who passed away in November of 2016.
Sponsored by Wrangler, Methodist Healthcare Cancer Network, South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers, Kindred Hospice, Christus Health, Baptist Breast Center and Ariat Boots, the Ranch Chic Fashion Show will offer guests great cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a favor bag, along with the chance to win fabulous prizes. Attendees will also be able to purchase some of the fashions and jewelry modeled at the show.
Funds from last year’s Gala and pre-gala activities assisted South Texas cancer patients and their families with programs such as transportation to treatment or hotel services when they are traveling away from home for treatment. Over the past 39 years the Cattle baron’s Gala has raised more than ten million dollars toward the American Cancer Society’s programs and services in San Antonio and the 12 surrounding counties.
