The Stone Oak Business Association is happy to announce that Golden Chick’s ribbon cutting on August 1 marked a new addition to the Stone Oak community!

Golden Chick opened its newest location North East of TPC Parkway on August 2.

During the grand opening celebration there was music from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and an opportunity to win a 10-speed bike and Golden Chick coolers. Golden Chick offered a Grand Opening Lunch Special of three Original Golden Tenders and one side along with a roll and soft drink for $5 and free soft serve cones.

“Golden Chick hired about 50 people to work at the new 2,300-square-foot location,” district manager Chris Royter said. The San Antonio area Golden Chick restaurants are owned by restaurateur Allen Tharp, who also owns the Lion & Rose British Restaurant & Pubs.

Golden Chick is known for its original golden tenders, golden fried chicken, golden roast chicken, southern fried catfish, salads and sides. For more information, visit or visit them at their newest location at 22002 US Highway 281.
