Great things are in store for 2016 and I want you to be a part of it!
I am honored to be running for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) Woman of the Year. It is truly an amazing gift. In the last two years, Leukemia has deeply touched my family.
My uncle was diagnosed with Adult T-Cell ALL in the summer of 2014. He has since received a bone marrow transplant and is currently recovering from the immense toll the disease takes on the body. My uncle’s diagnosis opened my eyes to what so many families face with this disease.
I want to make this a world without cancer; a world where a family that is in need of support can get it, the firefighter fighting for his life know there is a cure and the child with cancer that really just wants to go outside and play knows that day will come.
My campaign runs March 31 – June 10. If you are interested in my campaign please leave your contact information or email email@example.com for more information.
Please help me make Someday TODAY.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year campaign is a national ten-week campaign to raise funds to help find cures for blood cancers. The campaign includes individuals in the community who agree to utilize their leadership abilities and resources to conduct their own fundraising campaigns to help The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society fund blood cancer research and provide education and support services for patients and their families.
The male and female candidates who raise the most funds during the campaign will be awarded the title of the chapter’s Man & Woman of the Year. Candidates are judged solely on their success in raising money, each dollar counting as one vote. Their totals are then considered for the national title. Candidates run in honor of the Boy & Girl of the Year, who are local blood cancer patient survivors and sources of inspiration to others.
The South Central Texas chapter has broken records in both Austin and San Antonio propelling us to the top 5 in the nation in funds raised the last three years.
